Create a Vault secret

Provider and adapter credentials are stored in Vault.

  1. Go to Vault and select New secret.
  2. Enter a display name and a unique slug.
  3. Add a username only when the target service requires one.
  4. Add an optional description.
  5. Enter the secret value and select Create secret.

The secret value is not shown again after it is saved. Store the original in your approved credential system.

Provider and webhook forms reference the Vault object by its stable identifier. To rotate a credential, update the Vault secret. Dependent object references remain unchanged.
